when I try to view OF with the web interface on a local connection, I get prompted for a log-on and password. Where do I set these things? Or is there one I'm supposed to use?
I'm using the URL https://IP Number:3000 Is that correct?

You set the user name and password when you turned on the web interface in the preferences pane.

(If you've forgotten what you set it to, you can stop and then start the web interface and it will ask you to set the user name and password again.)
