Hi everyone. I've been working on updating the dynamic HTML exporter to fix some of the long standing issues with it. You'll find a copy of it attached here if you'd like to check it out.
Please let me know of any bugs you find with it. Primarily anything that's broke with this version over the one bundled with the app or any bugs with the fixes made. But, also anything it doesn't do go ahead and post about it too so we have it filed. There's still a number of issues that aren't fixed and won't be in this update.
This version is currently only tested with OmniWeb/Safari and FireFox 3. It is guaranteed to have issues with Internet Explorer. Please let me know of any browser incompatibilities you find as well.
What's changed in this version: Updated 9/15
9/15/08 Updates:
-Fixed row labels from causing indentation and handle alignment problems
-If you turn of checkboxes or set handles to never show, that empty space will be reclaimed as it is in OO
-Notes will now always appear under the row instead of right below the end of the topic cell
-Made summary cells transparent
9/12/08 Updates:
-Removed column styles from effecting column titles to match what you see in OO
-Column background colors will now apply to note fields
-Fixed an issue with certain styles overwriting each other when applied at text insertion
-Non-rgb stored color values are now correctly detected, defaults to black. If you have any test files that don't set the right color, please send a copy to omnioutliner@omnigroup.com
-Fixed a case where space characters between words were discarded as empty strings
Previous fixes
-Fixed a number of (all known) issues with background colors not rendering correctly.
-Background color applied to the whole document will color the whole background of the page
-Added support for opacity. (IE does not support rgba and will not render the color at all)
-Added strikethrough style
-Added gutter color
-Added superscript/subscript style
-Fixed issues with table spacing creating gaps in the background colors
-Added gridlines to the top and right side when using horizontal and vertical grid lines
-Named styles that are inherited by level styles will now appear
-All font weight styles that go beyond 900 font weight will now render at 900 font weight instead of the norm
-Non-italic style in the middle of a row is now supported
-Row numbering will use the same style as the row
-Centered text in the topic column will now be centered (Only if the topic column or whole row is set to be centered. Text alignment applied at text insertion level is not currently supported)
-Fixed an issue with row handle visibility being set incorrectly
Once I'm confident in the changes made, we'll release a new update to OmniOutliner that will include this export update the QuickLook preview generator with it.
Thanks for your help!
Installation instructions:
Like all other export plug-ins, place the whole HTMLv2-BETA.ooxsl directory into ~/Library/Application Support/OmniOutliner 3/Plug-Ins/. If you don't have a "Plug-Ins" folder, create it yourself. This plug-in will show up as "HTMLv2-BETA" under the export format list.
