Two webDAV servers: @Home & @Work? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
With the newest versions of OF Desktop and OF iPhone, will I be able to split-sync information across multiple webDAV servers?

For example, I don't want/can't have my work stuff sitting on some non-work Apple server, and I may not want my personal info syncing to my work machine.

Will it be possible to sync portions of my library to one server and portions of my library to another server?

Still not sure I like the split-sync idea even if it's possible. One thing about GTD that I've noticed is it's sometimes productive is to have some intermixing between my @Home and @Work stuff (since it mixes together anyway).

Just thoughts.... Would the two servers converge onto my iPhone? Is that any better or any worse?

In OmniFocus 1.1, you'll only be able to synchronize with one server at a time.

(You can switch between multiple server configurations and OmniFocus will ask if you want to replace your current data with the data from the server, and I sometimes use this to switch between my real data and some demo/test data. But as you point out, you lose out on some of the benefits of intermixed GTD if you partition your life that way.)
