Unable to connect to download server Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Sounds like a network connectivity issue between you and extremesims, not related to the configuration of the server itself. Are you able to ping downloads.extremesims.com? (In a Terminal window, try "ping downloads.extremesims.com", aborting with Control-C when you've satisfied your curiosity one way or the other. You might also try "traceroute downloads.extremesims.com" to see where that gets you.)

I can ping downloads.extremesims.com just fine:

I don't seem to be able to traceroute anything at the moment, which is unusual. Anyway, if it's just me, I'll try and solve this off-list. Thanks for all replies.
 
Info for 1Passwd users. There's a beta 3 out now which fixes the login issue, at least for me on OmniWeb. So Basic HTTP Authentication is working again, as well as some regular web page fills I was having problems with, like eBay.

Paul - were your issues resolved?
 
the logon to the get the latest build is coming up with "name or password invalid". I am able to logon to the omnifocus-beta-announce group ok. Is the logon the same between these two?

I've been having problems downloading updates for several days; it would just hang. I finally went straight to the download page and was able to download the latest from there, but the "automatic" update process has not been working for me.

Yes, the issue resolved itself spontaneously, and I have not been able to replicate the problem since then. I really have no idea what was going on, or what fixed it.

Hmmm, it has not resolved itself for me. I am stuck on build 90042 and am unable to download. Anyone else still experiencing this problem?

Can you go to the site and directly download?
