How do you set up repeating tasks in the iphone version of OF? This would be useful , for example , if you have to remind yourself to pay a recurring monthly bill.

Sorry, that feature isn't available on the iPhone app (yet).
If you configure a repeating task on OmniFocus for the Mac and sync with your iPhone, the tasks will repeat on the iPhone but you can't change their repeat settings.
