I mentioned this in another thread, but I'd figure I'd officially ask for permission.

Once I get my beta invite (signed up late April), I am planning on writing a perl script to:

1) Backup the OmniFocus Application

2) Backup OmniFocus data files

3) Download the latest build and install it

Once I get it done, is it okay for me to distribute this?

I realize that the benefits of having people using more recent builds need to be weighed against an automated process incessantly hammering your servers for updates.

I guess I could just leave out the instructions on how to set it up to run automatically, and just let people click on it to run if there is a concern.
