Each time there is a new version we need to go to the download page, download the app and then copy the app to the application folder. Why do we have to jump through all these hoops?

I noticed that there is a shell script that can take do some of the work, but couldn't OmniFocus use something like Sparkle to automatically ask us if we want to update and perform the necessary steps for us?

Just a thought
