Scroll wheel zoom Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I like the fact that holding down the command key allows one to zoom in and out using the scroll wheel, but wouldn't it make more sense to zoom around the current mouse pointer position rather than around some center point? Every other drawing program that has this feature that I have used does it the former way: zooming around the mouse pointer position. Is there a preference which allows this in OG 5.1.1?

By the way, speaking of zooming, I have found that zooming back to 100% by holding down the shift and clicking on the zoom button is somewhat unreliable. If I have done a fair amount of manipulation while zoomed, it often doesn't work.

Thanks.

In addition, what about linking zooming to the pinch open/close trackpad motions?

Hi Trixie,

Fortunately, zoom centers around selected objects (since OG version 5), so my recommendation to you is to select an object before zooming.

My complaint about scrollwheel-zooming is that on very busy pages (most of the time for me) it's just too sluggish to be usable.
