I downloaded OmniDisk Sweeper to determine where my hard disk is full on my Mac 10.5.8. I get an error code when I try to drag it to my Applications folder saying that the disk is full. What to do? Seems the dog is chasing his tale here.

You don't have to install it to run it. Just launch it from the disk image and get started on the cleaning up. You can always install it later, once you've cleared some space.
