How To Sync Omnifocus to SME WebDAV Server Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I'm trying to setup a SME Server 8 on a local LAN with the intent to sync Omnifocus 1.10.6 to. Has anyone tried that?

The settings on the SME Server are;

address 10.0.1.51
Shared folder name: monkey
Password: lost

I tried setting up secure https and un-secure folders.

For the folders i have tried both local network 'password required' and 'password not required'

From the Omnifocus App on my MAC/Omnifocus Synchronization Preferences, Sync with: Advanced settings
Location http or https ://10.0.1.51/monkey/
No success so far.

Any suggestions? thanks

Could you be more specific about what "No success so far." means? What error messages or misbehaviors are you observing?

The OmniPresence Mac client has similar WebDAV needs and a much better server validation 'wizard'. You might try downloading that (it's free!) and seeing whether you can get that to connect to your server. http://www.omnigroup.com/omnipresence/

Here is a log of an attempt to sync OmniFocus 1.10.6 to a SME WebDAV Server using https

1/17/2014 9:25:50.677 AM OmniFocus[29042]: Sync terminated with error: {
code = 49;
domain = "com.omnigroup.OmniFocus.XMLData.ErrorDomain";
userInfo = {
NSLocalizedDescription = "Unable to authenticate with WebDAV server.";
NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion = "Please check that the user name and password you provided are correct.";
NSUnderlyingError = {
code = -1012;
domain = NSURLErrorDomain;
userInfo = {
NSErrorFailingURLKey = "https://10.0.1.51/monkey/OmniFocus.ofocus/";
NSErrorFailingURLStringKey = "https://10.0.1.51/monkey/OmniFocus.ofocus/";
};
};
"com.omnigroup.framework.OmniBase.ErrorDomain.File LineAndNumber" = "/Volumes/LocalSSD/Users/Shared/omnibuild/ReleaseProduct/Source/OmniGroup/Applications/OmniFocus/XMLData/XMLDAVOperation.m:580";
};
}

Going to take a step back. i think i skipped a step or two. Going to try a OS X WebDAV server I manually setup before. It worked with Omnifocus, Omniplan, and MAC connect to server.

On the SME Server 8 I don't think i setup the accounts correct. :)
