On the iPad, I can view all of my tasks as they are broken down by context or by project. Is there a way one could see one, long list of tasks without them being separated by context or project?

I don't know of one unless you've got the Mac application. If you do, you can make a context mode perspective, ungrouped, sorted however you want, and that will give you an unbroken list on the iPad.
If you don't have a Mac with OmniFocus, you can contact the Omni support ninjas and have them help you build the perspective.
