Edit - Find - Search the Web Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I discovered that if you highlight text and go to Edit -> Find -> Search the Web the command dumps the text into the Search field of the toolbar. The text just sits there, it doesn't actually start a search until you click on the field and hit the Enter key.

For some reason direct drag/drop to the Search bar doesn't work. It should, that would save time. Another time saver would be being able to access "Search the Web" from the context menu.

Worse--and truly a bug--if you don't have a Search field in your toolbar, you just get a beep, not error message. The "Search the Web" menu item is not disabled although it apparently requires the Search field.

Highlight the text and hit shift-command-F
