Didn't this already get implemented on beta 4? I clicked on a feed link today and NewsFire opened up right away.

I don't think so. Maybe there is an option somewher in the prefs but not that I have found. I am still using the "copy link to clipboard", open Newsfire method.

We do not register for 'feed:' urls so those will be handled by your default feed handler.
Improve our handling in 5.5.1.
