Hi Omni - I'm back after a bit of an affair with Things. Customer support and generally disappointing development issues over there brought me back, and I'm ready to re-commit!

I've been screwing around with AppleScript a bit, and I'm 90% there. I have a custom Mail Act-On trigger which creates a new OF task (I have some additional things I want to do to the message, so I'm not using the Clip-O-Matic). So far, so good.

One of the things I am trying to do with the message is to add a MailTags notes field with a link to my OF task. This also seems to work:

set theURL to "omnifocus:///task/" & id of todo & linefeed
set note of someEmail to theURL

Here's the problem: Until I've filed the task into a Project (as long as the task is in the Inbox), the URL doesn't work. This is a slight annoyance that I'd love to eliminate. I'm pretty sure it's a bug, though, so please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Confirmed by dragging an Inbox task to DEVONthink:

- The url link back doesn't function properly until a project has been assigned to the task.

I would file a bug.
