the due date of a task is not shown in the main overview in the MAC version, but it is shown in the version for the iPad. Is it possible to configure the MAC version of OmnFocus to show the due date next to the task title like in the iPad version?

Welcome to the forums! If you select
View -> Columns -> Due Date from the menu bar, does that do what you're looking for?
