Easy way to convert note(s) to item(s)? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
If I have a task with an attached note is there an easy way to convert the contents of the note to sub-items of the task?

For example:

Task X with attached note that includes text A, B, C, D

Short of just cutting and pasting is there any easy way to convert this to:

Task X
sub item A
sub item B
sub item C
sub item D

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions.

regards,
Abe Z.

Well, it's cutting and pasting, but it's easy cutting and pasting!

Select the list of items to be turned into tasks
Edit->Copy (command-C)
Now click on the row handle of the desired parent (the dot at the left end)
Edit->Paste (command-V)
Edit->Outlining->Indent (command-])

Now you should have a new child action for each line in the selected region with a minimum of fuss.

Ah, perfect - I was missing that last step - many thanks!
