A couple of Safari-Stand requests Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Mostly, Safari Stand enables Safari to act more like OW.

But there are a couple of items in SS's prefs I'd love to see in OW's prefs:

-- tidy by date file downloads

-- downloads window auto close delay

-- open _blank link in new tab

Having these items as preferences in OW would make OW absolutely ideal.

Thanks.

tidy by date: what's the difference between SS and OW's "remember downloads for"?

open _blank: known issue in OW.

SS actually creates subfolders in the Finder in your download folder for each day you download something, obviously putting that day's files in there.

Sometimes (admittedly not always) this is helpful.

ooooh, now I get it. I was thinking of the download manager window. What I do is set site prefs to download files to specific folders based on the site I get them from. Then one can setup folder actions on how each folder is treated.
