Bug? Insert Variable, Total Pages Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hi there,

First off, I love OG! What a joy and a pleasure it is to use. But...

Minor thing, but very irritating this: when I ask OG - via Insert Variable, Total Pages - to count and display the number of pages (canvases) in a document, it mis-counts. Bizarre. Looks like its doubling the actual number of pages, so that it displays a 4 page document as having 8 pages, a 52 page doucment as having 104 pages, and so on.

Anyone else experience this? A known bug? Fix coming anytime soon?

Thanks in advance. Great software!

Seems to pass a simple test case here:

Can you show it failing with something comparable? Which version of OG are you running?

It works for me here, too.

My thought, not seeing the file, is that it is counting pages and each canvas in your document has two pages

(pages = printed pages)
(canvases = the spaces that you create diagrams in)

When I create a canvas that is two pages wide, the total pages count doubles.

You could try using the "total canvases" variable and see if that gives you the desired effect.

HTH
