OmniFocus or 2Do (app for iphone) Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Im trying to decide whether to use omnifocus or 2do (iphone app) for my task management.

I like the look of 2do, but it sucks that there is no desktop app. There is a desktop app for omnifocus.

I would have to use toodledo for my "desktop" experience if I'm to use 2do... And toodledo kinda sucks.

I find 2do to be better in somethings while OmniFocus to be better in other things....

What are everyone's thoughts?

Given this is the OmniFocus for Mac forum, I'd have to say the odds will be OVERWHELMINGLY in favor of the OmniFocus option, given it HAS a desktop app ;-)

A quality desktop app is my #1 requirement. It's WAY more important than the iOS client to me. So yeah 2Do doesn't even rate.

Watch the screencasts, grab a copy of Creating Flow with OmniFocus. These are valuable resources that will help you. It's amazing how many people kinda just wing it instead of RTFM (Read The Friendly Manual).

OmniFocus is one of those programs that really demands your attention. It's kind of like Photoshop. You can use Photoshop with just the tools you need. But there's so much power in the engine, you really have to sit down and invest time into learning various parts of the program.

The more time you invest in OmniFocus, the greater your rewards. Your OmniFocus black belt awaits you.

Just bought Omnifocus for iPhone, iPad and OSX last week so far I REALLY like the product. Desktop app is very powerful yet isn't very fancy visually, but once Omnifocus 2 gets released I am sure its gonna be a great enhancement.

It's interesting how I'm using OF on all three....

Most of the time, I use the iPhone version because it's portable. It's great for a quick capture on the field and when I need to check off my tasks/projects.

I'll use the Mac version most when I'm brainstorming projects and need to create perspectives for iPhone/iPad.

I'll use the iPad version when I do my weekly review. I also use it when I'm also at a job site where it's inconvenient to carry around the MacBook Pro.

You'll probably find different uses for all of the devices. You'll figure out your own workflow.
