OW pinning CPU at 100% Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
FWIW, All of the recent SP releases have been "running away with my CPU". Everything's good for a while. Then, I notice my CPU pinned at 100% (as it is right now). If I open Activity Monitor, it tells me OmniWeb is using all available CPU time. Quitting and relaunching seems to "reset" CPU utilization.

I tried to post a CPU Sample below, but it exceeds the max length allowed by the forum software.

iBook G4 (14 inch) Mid-2005
System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.6 (8|127)
CPU: 1.42 GHz G4
Memory: 1.5 GB
100 GB Hard Drive
ATI Mobility Radeon 9550 32 MB

No need to double-post.

hasn't happened here (yet, anyway), Were you viewing a lot of Flash? I've had this happen in FF with some Flash sites.

Never seen a problem with cpu. But then I don't enable Flash or javascript generally, don't use RSS, and OW isn't set to check bookmarks or anything. Maybe if I was loading a large workspace or number of tabs.

Odd, OW is seemingly having trouble again reaching Apple Discussions, Safari works fine. something that was happening when SP12 came out, and was related to my .plist file. Well, this is plist that has been working with SP12-15...
