Problems with printing Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hi,

Whenever I try and print a document, I seem to have to fiddle with it because OmniOutliner, instead of formatting for printing wants to print lines of text identical to how they display on the screen rather than reformatting for printing. This would be fine if there was a print layout view as in Word, but I don't seem to find either option. I'm sure there are applications where that issue is not an issue, but I'm using it mostly for notes. Am I just missing something in setting my documents up or is this a weakness in the program.

I'm using OmniOutliner Pro 3.6.5 on Leopard.

Thanks,
Rob

OmniOutliner will use the width of the document window for the width of the print out. To get consistent results, make sure print scaling is turned off (File -> Page Setup -> Settings: OmniOutliner -> General tab -> Uncheck 'scale to fit page width'). When that's off, you'll see page break indicators when you resize the width of the window. Setting the width to the first page break will make your document print on a single page and appear like it is shown on screen.

If you have any questions about this, please let me know.

Perfect!! Thanks.
