Alarm or reminder? [A: Yes, if Growl is installed.] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I think that may be a problem. I think Apple just does the forward of the notification. So that means the iPhone would have to forward the notification to some other place (probably Omni Group servers) that would send it on at the appropriate time. That said, I have no real clue. Just repeating speculation from others. But you would think that Apple wouldn't want the responsibility for the time management. Then again, without the store and forward at a later time functionality, it's not all that useful.

Short answer: the iPhone/Push notification features we know about don't let us do what folks are asking for.

Long answer: see Ken's post.

(I'll do some thread consolidation and stickying to make this easier for other folks to find.)

Are you OUT OF YOUR MIND?!?!?!?!?!?!

"Install a third party application so I can get a damn ALERT on where??--> MY DESKTOP?!?!?"

Here's a crazy idea:: How about the PROGRAMMERS squeeze out a script that ALERTS the user of the task?

There are .99 cent iPhone apps that do that!!!
This is hysterical!!!

Some misunderstanding here, I think.

You appear not to have noticed that you are posting on the OmniFocus for Mac (Desktop) forum, and others may not have noticed that you are actually seeking help with the iPhone version.

Perhaps you would find the responses less confusing if you were to address your queries to the Omnifocus for iPhone forum.
