Several of my most often used/visited sites are refusing to load in Omniweb. The error returned is "Cannot Load Address-Could not connect to the server"--the message I'd normally expect if the server or my service were down. However, each of these sites (about 4 or 5) load immediately in Safari. I encounter this problem wether I use old bookmarks or type in the address manually. Each site shows a padlock icon on the Status bar but I have found no reference to that icon in the Manual.

I have cleared or reset each site's preferences back to "neutral", but suspect something on my end is causing the problem. Hopefully it's just something dumb that I'm overlooking--I DO NOT want to migrate to ANY other browser!

Any help or suggestions welcome...

The lock icon means you're accessing the site via an encrypted connection. (The address will show "https" instead of "http" in the address bar.)

Maybe Little Snitch or some other software is preventing OmniWeb from making secure connections, but Safari is configured differently? If you contact our Support Ninjas, they can lend a hand.
