Creation of custom stencils from PDF or other Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I'm interested in creating custom editable stencils for OmniGraffle 5 and above, I have read a number of articles describing the process of creating then opening a PDF, copy/pasting to a stencil and saving for use.

I have tried this but the overall fill seems to applying to the overall area than the object itself.

However I want to be able to edit the bezier curves and recolour if needed.

I have considered creation of the objects in Illustrator then importing and then redrwaing within Omnigraffle but this seems labor intensive, if there is something im missing thern I would rather not achieve it via that method.

My tool of choice is Adobe Illustrator and I'm wondering if it is possible to create the export imagery that is the re-editable in Omnigraffle resulting in better visuals for the end result.

I did read that the original default stencils were actually created in illustrator and imported in.

Can anyone shed light on the viability of this process.

thanks
M.

Posted nearly 2 weeks ago,

Any feedback appreciated. Just want feedback on how I get PDFs from illustrator into Omnigraffle and keep them editable?

Can get them imported but they don't seem to be editable.

Cheers
M
