Omniweb in 64-bit? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
How is the Snow Leopard 64bit progress going?

We're continuing work on newer versions of OmniWeb. It's pretty likely that OmniWeb 6 will be the first 64-bit version after all.

We investigated our options for doing it in OmniWeb 5 builds and the amount of work involved we think will be better served in getting OmniWeb 6 up and running.

Agreed. I can't wait to see what you guys are working on for version 6. Given how well version 5 works after all these years, I'm sure 6 will have us set for the next few.

Would this mean that only powerPC's running Leopard would be able to use 5.11 or whatever it is? Or are PowerPC users just going to be out of luck entirely, and 5.10 is the end of the line?
You shouldn't complain if you choose to remain on obsolete architecture. Beside, 5.10, 11 or whatever will still work, so you're not without OmniWeb.
