What's a sensible number of backups? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
OmniDiskSweeper called my attention to the OmniFocus backup folder, which holds 700 MB of backup files (1164 files going back to June 2007)!

While waiting for an OmniFocus auto-purge of backups, I'm going to ask Hazel to retain a sensible number of backups (e.g., "n" files, "n" days). What number and unit are sensible?

Given Time Machine's passion for filling its backup drive, I suspect "sensible" could be not-very-many.
