Unable to Synchronize database with server [Resolved] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I pressed sync but a warning window popped up saying that the "local:_____omniFocus.ofocus," is signed by an untrusted root server.

What does this mean?

It's apparently a bug that you are getting that warning, judging from Ken's post in this thread: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=14823

I don't know if this was never fixed, or if it was fixed and broke again, but you should use Contact Omni (under the gear menu) to send in a report that you are seeing this behavior. You can read the Omni support ninja's recommendations for what to do in that same thread, then if something bad happens, you're following their advice, not mine :)

I have the mac, iPhone, and iPad versions. However, syncing is a pain!!!

First I tried with iPad, no luck!

Now, I'm trying with iPhone and no luck.

I have a wifi network and Mobile Me.

Can someone provide basic instructions on how to sync?

I'm totally confused. I got both iphone OF and iPad OF and need to open an account. How come? Where is this account?

It bears mentioning that you have to visit the page and click on the link from the device you want to configure!
How do you visit this mystery page?

..Unable to read document.

No Document exists at "http://idisk.me/_________/documents/OmniFocus.ofocus/"

This is the message I get on my iPad.

OmniFocus doesn't sync one device to another, but rather multiple devices to a server. That server can be the Omni Sync Service (read all about it here: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=15967) or Apple's MobileMe, or a Mac running OmniFocus, or some other properly functioning WebDAV server to which you have sufficient access. The Omni server and MobileMe are probably the easiest options for most people, although the Apple one costs money after your free trial is up.

You can read about the Omni Sync Service in the thread about it here: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=15967

The service itself can be found at http://sync.omnigroup.com though if you don't already have an account, you might not get one until Tuesday or so, considering it is a holiday weekend in the US.

That's the thing, I have MobileME. All I ask is for a simple instruction on how to sync all my devices.

Let's start with MM? What gives?
