what is a lead time please?

I got several examples of task wich should begin two days after start or begin of another task.

Is that the way of using the lead time?

You've got the right idea. Lead time is extra padding between tasks.

If you want to set up a task that is a dependent or a prerequisite of another task with a bit of lead time, go to the "Task : Dependencies" inspector and enter the the time value in the "Lead Time" field.

Yes, exactly. You want to create a Start->Start dependency with a Lead Time of 2 days.
