We do have plans to add sorting by other options. Are there any particular ones you'd like to see?

The most particular one is start date,

im sure this could be integrated to the live filtering feature thats recently added, matching omnifocus's way also - without having a dropdown box coming everytime

Oh, my mistake. I assumed you were asking for sort options for custom columns.

You can actually sort by start date in OmniPlan(and any other standard column in OmniPlan), you just have to bring up the start date column first for the sorting option to appear in the menubar. Just go to "View" > "View Options" and check on the "Start" column. Once that's done, go to "Structure" > "Sort Selected Tasks".

This would be a nice option.

I currently keep my task lists in omnioutliner, and having a 'keep sorted' option available with a right mouse click is invaluable. Without a similar option in omniplan, I can't move my tasks lists and gain the extras that omniplan provides.

I'll add your name to the list of users asking for a "keep sorted" option in OmniPlan. :-)
