Sync with Mac w/o WebDev - am I missing something Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Read through the FAQ. Looked a some posts. Did some searches.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious - but - can I use the OmniFocus for iPhone app to directly sync with my Desktop OmniFocus application without going through MobileMe or WebDev.

For me it would be ideal to just connect the iPhone via USB cable and sync my databases.

Not doable. I had the same question. The usb solution is a proprietary apple itunes deal that they can't use.

would have been great if it were an option.

This may already have been pointed to in another thread somewhere, but I just ran across this site with instructions on how to set up WebDAV on your own computer (in Leopard), eliminating the need for MobileMe or another private server:

Read down in the comments for info on doing the same thing in Tiger.

I have not followed the instructions, so I can't vouch for them, but I have done something similar in the past, so it should work.
