A plain draft theme which works well for me, though probably not glamorous enough for many :-)
Theme file attached, but the redundant lines encircling projects still have to be removed manually by unchecking "rounded" in the Preferences style dialog. (A bug, it seems, in the reading of theme files). The visually noisy filter bar has been muted with this script, using a setting of: property alphaLabels : 0.0As for the toolbar, I tend to switch it off, and prefer to assign keystrokes with Keyboard Maestro. -- Last edited by RobTrew; 2011-07-05 at 07:46 AM..

I recently came back to OmniFocus and I was struggling with it. I didn't realize how much the garish colors, weird spacing and font was throwing me off until I tried your theme. I tweaked your project headings ever so slightly, but essentially kept the rest as-is and OmniFocus is a whole new experience for me. So much easier to focus on the task at hand, literally. Great job, and thanks again.

Here's a simple and elegant theme.
Available on http://www.nightlion.net. I can't post URLs, so here's a link. http://www.nightlion.net/download/Ni...niFocus_v3.zip

hello,
a little bit about my OmniFocus theme is available on my weblog: KVET.CH i use color to indicate "severity" or availability of tasks, it makes the things that are "past-due" stand out and shame me. by all means reuse, remix, just don't call it emoryfocus :) Last edited by emory; 2011-08-16 at 01:41 PM..

This is by far the most clean and slimmed down theme I've designed for Omnifocus. I styled it to match the colors and themes found in the new OSX Lion interface. I think it's a great fit. I hope you enjoy it.

I set Overdue tasks to a bold, red typeface with a bright yellow background. This is the warning sign that I have overdue items. Due Soon tasks are set to a bold, orange typeface with a light yellow background. Orange is my color for warning! This helps the Due Soon and Overdue tasks stick out a lot more. Tasks that are unavailable (not yet started, blocked by a prior action) are grayed out. It helps visually block out tasks that I am unable to do today. Tasks that are available but not urgent (not due or flagged) have a green bold font with white background. The color green reminds me of a "Go" stoplight and tells me that I can do this item now. I think it might be a bit too colourful for many folks but I tend to look at things through colors. Changing font sizes didn't really do it for me because it was just too subtle for me. Thanks to Asian Efficiency and NightLion for the inspiration! Thanks for the great themes! Last edited by wilsonng; 2012-09-13 at 05:10 PM.. Reason: changed some colours

I was getting bothered by my bright colors in my first attempt at modifying my theme that was influenced the Asian Efficiency OmniFocus theme and the NightLion OmniFocus theme.
I've toned my colors so that it's not as bright as loud. I still use Red for overdue, Orange for Due Soon, Grey for unavailable/blocked actions, and Green for Available actions. Grab it here: https://www.box.com/s/mzblucsba8ezv9x5shqd Just returning back to the community and hope that others can take ideas and create their own OmniFocus theme.

Late in the day – perhaps OmniFocus 1 is now moving towards its final year – I find that I am now less distracted by the kind of background used by FoldingText, ByWord etc.,
in the region of {242, 242, 242} {248, 248, 248}than by the (calm but slightly more soporific ?) shades of parchment on which I used to write my notes.
