OmniFocus 1.7.1 for iPhone is now available! Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I'm not having any trouble with 4.0.2. You might try re-downloading from the app store. If you tap the buy button while logged in using the iTunes account with which you purchased OF, then it will re-download the app for free.

Anyone having a weird visual bug where the icons in the Action Bar @ the bottom remain Highlighted with the White Glow?

I have to click around to different parts of the UI in order to make it disappear.

Any way to downgrade to 1.7?
Please?!
This kind of thing has happened before with OmniFocus. I've had to downgrade twice on my iPod Touch due to OmniGroup's testing not finding crashers before they released a new version through Apple's unnecessarily convoluted process.

1) Always keep backups or manually save copies of the .ipa files iTunes tries to throw away when you upgrade apps (it puts them in the trash).

You may be able to find OmniFocus.ipa containing version 1.7 in your Time Machine, Carbon Copy Cloner, or other backups from before you did the OmniFocus upgrade to 1.7.1 (the .ipas are kept by iTunes in '~/Music/iTunes/Mobile\ Applications/'

If you haven't saved copies or you don't have backups, you are probably out of luck.

2) Pull the previous OmniFocus.ipa file for version 1.7 out of your archive of old versions or your backups.

3) Make sure your OmniFocus db items are freshly synchronized with your Mac, WebDAV, or other server.

4) Delete OmniFocus from your iPod Touch or iPhone. This will also delete your database and settings. You did make sure the info was synchronized in step 3, right? If not, go back and do that first.

5) Drag the OmniFocus.ipa file from step 2 (the one containing version 1.7) onto your Apps tab in iTunes. If asked, say yes to replace the newer OmniFocus 1.7.1 version with your older 1.7 version.

6) Run an iTunes synchronize to install this 1.7 version of OmniFocus to your iPod or iPhone.

7) Open OmniFocus on your iPod or iPhone and set it up.

You'll have to use OmniFocus synchronization to pull a copy of your data back from your Mac or other server.

8) Enjoy 1.7. And hope Apple doesn't do their usual foot drag with their walled garden app approval process.

WARNING: Do not upgrade to 1.7.1 unless you're running iOS 3.2 or iOS 4! We just learned about an incompatibility with iOS 3.0/3.1 which we're fixing ASAP for 1.7.2.
Might I suggest you specify the bug in more detail in your announcements (on this forum, and on twitter, at least), so folks who experience it can determine quickly if their "incompatibility" is new or not?

OmniFocus 1.7.2 is now available, fixing 1.7.1's compatibility issue with iOS 3.0/3.1.
