Hi myfre - I understand. I haven't found a solution, sadly. OF is great for projects but clogs up as I add data. I had hoped it would be a one-stop task-management tool - and many of my tasks generate attendant useful information that I don't want to orphan. On suggestions (above) I've tried to do just that, but couldn't find a way to do that in bulk - the only way to do it would be per-project, per task - incredibly time-consuming and there is the problem of how to file this data in a second OF database, also time-consuming. I am gradually moving towards a simpler project manager, Evernote, and keeping OF for its data-managing facilities.
