Out-of-sync between iPhone and Mac Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I've been using OmniFocus for years. Just realized my iPhone 4 and Lion-based MacBook Pro (running OF 1.9.4) somehow are totally out-of-sync with each other.

The data's correct on my iPhone. Question is, How do I sync one-way with the handheld overwriting the desktop?

Sorry for the trouble! Do you mean "totally out of sync" as "are not syncing with each other", or do you mean "they are syncing, but I'm not seeing the same things on each device"?

If it's the latter, the first thing I'd try is opening up Project view on the iOS device, then tapping the View button (looks like an eye) and setting the filter to "All".

At the same time, on the Mac, open the Perspectives menu and select the "All Items" perspective. Those two views should show just about everything in the database, helping you determine if the devices are actually out of sync, or if the filter settings on the two devices were just showing different things...

Does that help at all?
Brian, you're right. Looks like the filters were set differently on the Mac. All data is present on both devices.

Any thoughts on how that might've happened? Do filters normally stay in sync across devices -- i.e., what I see on one device is -- by default -- how it displays on another device with which I'm sync'ing?

Thanks for the guidance. Great product, by the way!
Filters are independent, and do not get synchronized from device to device.
