Yes, it's horible isn't it. Obviously it's there to warn that you're using alpha/beta software, but it seams rather unecessary to me.
I doubt it can be removed.

You can enter this command in Terminal to remove the stripes:
defaults write com.omnigroup.OmniFocus AddConstructionWarning -bool NO Last edited by Bill Van Hecke; 2008-09-10 at 08:37 AM..

Whoops, that command was for our “Debug” builds. I've edited the command to work for the normal sneaky peek builds.
