For example on ebay (http://clothes.search.ebay.co.uk/_Me...s234QQsbrsrtZd) when following the link to an article, the Back button has to be pressed several times to return to the original listing. Also the history does not seem to be updated.

Please read the release notes for the sneakypeek - it is a known issue.
FWIW, to workaround the problem until it is fixed, use the history list in the back button to pick the page you need.
