Also from experience, we have yet to find a single valid user that came from the IP ranges the forum spammers come from.

Ok... I think I've come up with a plan. I'm rewriting the "Complete and Await Reply" apple script. I'm going to make one called, "Complete and Give Status". It's only a slight modification to the original script and it'll allow me to put items into a paused context called "For Status" or something like that.

The person had 0 post on the group and a signature inviting me to take a look at his site with a tinyurl address.
Adding preview. to the address, I can see that it redirects to a clickbank.net subdomain…

I just registered a 2 days ago and I am already getting these spam messages.
Here is what it said: "I am new to the forum, my name is Robert and I wanted to introduce myself and say hi!!!" Almost identical to the one the OP posted about. Is there anything else you can do to prevent these? These spammers are getting very brave lol Last edited by MJackson09; 2009-08-04 at 06:58 AM..
