Applescript access to natural language date parsing? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
It would be very helpful to make some kind of (natural language, or flexible format) string_to_date function accessible to Applescript.

Does that look feasible ?

That sounds reasonable -- this is indirectly accessible right now via the 'parse tasks' command, but it would be much nicer to have explicit support for this. Make sure to log a request so we can look at this post-1.0.

Is there any documentation of the syntax of textual representation expected by 'parse tasks' ?

This should make its way to the real online help, but for now you can find some examples via Help > Release Notes and then clicking on 'archive' in the header -- there are some samples under the November 2 section.
