Saving as flat file for default Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hello,

Is there a way to save files as flat files for default? I'm running 5.1.1 and it says "Automatic" in the Doc settings, but always saves as a package. This makes problems when attaching it in Thunderbird.

Thank you,

-JL

You'll have to create a new Template (File Menu -> New Resource -> New Template) and set it to Flat there, save, and then use that Template as your new default.

Hope that helps,

Are there disadvantages to saving as a flat file instead of a package? I recently ran into this issue and have changed my default template to save as flat but if there are disadvantages I might go back to saving the package locally and copying it to my network drive.
