LOL... Well, misery loves company, I guess. Just a shame it happened on a Friday. Probably no fix until at least Tuesday at the earliest. They should institute a "no releases on Friday in case we break something" policy...
If the problem you're seeing is in fact addressed by running the CoalesceDatabase script, then I suspect the bug is one that's been in our builds for some time. (And yes, we do plan to fix it.) It's the kind of bug that secretly bloats your file for a long time, until eventually it's too big for OmniFocus to load properly. So it could be just very unfortunate coincidence that things went sour this weekend.
