How to import from DevonThink (or from Finder) Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes

Thanks Ken, good ideas! but the import function won't select the MyData.ooutline document (it is inactive/disabled/not recognized, impossible to select in the import dialogue).

Could it be that your OmniOutliner file is using a ".ooutline" extension? I believe that should be ".oo3", which seems to work fine when imported on my system.

Have you tried opening the export from DevonThink in OmniOutliner?

Thank You Dennis - the extension info helped me. I suppose the export from DevonThink is a wrong format (ooutline).

I downloaded a trial of OmniOutliner, and it could open the exported ooutline document. Then I saved it again in oo3 format.

Omnifocus could then read this oo3 file.

[For the curious, .ooutline is the format for Outliner 1 & 2.]
