What is a sensible way to draw "ports" i.e. little square boxes or circles that are attached to the perimeter of a bigger box or circle? I want them to stay attached.

What is a sensible way to draw "ports" i.e. little square boxes or circles that are attached to the perimeter of a bigger box or circle? I want them to stay attached.

i would just group the objects together into one. If you want the port to be a connection point for lines, don't forget to put in some magnets at the appropriate spots.
It will scale fine. I've quickly mocked it up in the attachment. -- Morgan
