hi to all

what about creating an "Omni File Format" which will combine the strengths of several of your products?

I could imagine your products like Outliner, OmniFocus, OmniGraffle to actually share a common file format.
Each one might add some data entries which only itself will interpret and others ignore.

At the end this would allow to store the actual information in one file on DropBox for example and use the individual progs more or less as "viewers" of this information, enabling us to shuffle them around.

In this way the redundancy between information would become smaller.
People could easily add/edit information in one program on the platform of choice (iMac, iPhone, iPad) and manipulate it later on a different platform according to their needs.

just for the fun of it, here are 3 ways of displaying the same information.
The base data is an OPML file created on iThoughtsHD iPad saved directly in the cloud (DropBox) and later on opened in NovaMind, OmniOutliner and OmniGraffle (via OO) respectively.
