Is choosing a local folder to store my Omni files inside a local DropBox folder a bad idea?
Can I point multiple Mac's to the same local folder in DropBox? I am just gauging how good or bad this might be.

We strongly recommend against doing that. You would have two app monitoring and syncing the same files that can lead to unpredictable results.
