OmniGraphSketcher 1.3 for iPad is now available! Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
OmniGraphSketcher 1.3 for iPad is a significant update which greatly improves axis manipulation, allowing direct control of both the axis range and tick spacing via dragging on the canvas. Other additions include the ability to select multiple objects at once, and to copy and paste any graph object. We've improved accuracy when selecting, addressed crashing at high zoom levels, and fixed problems with importing and saving reported by our users.

Axis Manipulation
  • When you select an axis, several handles now appear that let you adjust axis properties. The handles at the ends of the axis let you change the axis range, either by dragging them or by tapping and typing numeric values. And you can change the spacing between tick marks by dragging the handle that appears above the first tick mark.
  • Drag with one finger anywhere on an axis to rescale the axis range. (The axis end closest to your finger will update as you drag.) Alternatively, drag any axis tick label.
  • Drag with two fingers on an axis to "pan" the range.
  • If you delete an axis title, you can get it back by tapping the axis twice and choosing Show Axis Title from the menu.

Selecting and Editing
  • Added support for copying and pasting any graph object.
  • Added ability to Redo changes via a press and hold on the Undo button.
  • You can now select multiple objects by holding a finger down on the first one while tapping others to add or remove them from the selection. You can also drag from unoccupied space on the graph background to select all objects in a rectangular area.
  • Snap text labels to lines and points by dragging. Once a label is snapped, drag it again to adjust its position relative to the object it's snapped to.
  • New "Detach" menu item in the contextual edit menu lets you separate points which have been snapped together.
  • Improved accuracy when selecting points, lines, and axes, especially when they are overlapping or very close to each other.
  • Improved functionality when editing text labels.
  • You can now use the inspector to manually set the lower-left x- and y-position of lines, fills, and groups of objects.
  • Improved visual feedback when snapping points and labels onto other objects.
  • Fixed an issue where points snapped together would no longer snap to the grid or other objects.
  • Improved the appearance and behavior of text overlays that display zoom scales and positions of points being dragged.
  • Once an object is selected, you can now drag it immediately (it no longer requires a split-second pause).

Miscellaneous
  • You can now rename documents by tapping the document's title either in the document browser or in the main toolbar.
  • Fixed an issue with the data importer so that it now correctly imports data in locales that use a half-space as the thousands separator.
  • Fixed an issue where some bold fonts did not get saved.
  • Improved stability of the app when zoomed in all the way.
  • Many smaller fixes and improvements.
