How to override formatting of content pasted from another app? [A: Edit -> "Paste w/ Current Style"] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I use different templates in OO with 'preconfigured' formatting for different level rows. However, when I cut and paste text that has already been formatted elsewhere, the 'original' formatting stays. Is there a way to make the OO template properties 'over write' the formatting that comes with what I'm cutting and pasting?

Thanks.

Instead of using Edit->Paste, use Edit->Paste With Current Style. If you find that you usually want to do that, use System Preferences->Keyboard to swap the two functions so that command-V does Edit->Paste With Current Style and Edit->Paste is bound to the keyboard shortcut that requires both hands, your left foot, and your nose...

Excellent. Thanks so much for this.
