Yes, I've been emailing this request for years (maybe since 2005?). I just hate drawers. Please, PLEASE kill the drawers already!

Sidebars are a total mess. I don't need my content area jumping around all the time.

I'm not sure what you mean? Why would a side bar make the content jump around? Thats not how it works for me in Preview and other apps with sidebars - they stay whatever static size you set it to, just like a drawer but much more sleek.

Ah, now that I think about it, you must mean when you close the sidebar, the window stays the same size, so the content expands to fill it. I do agree that this could be annoying. Devs, is there a way to have the side bar "collapse" in a similar fashion to drawers? This wouldn't make me want to stick with drawers, however, 'cause drawers are teh ugly.

Shiira's sidebar is a space waster and the new tab widget is an eyesore. OW's drawer is much more functional and clean: widgets at the top, and it's easy to hide.

If Shiira's ideas are so great it would have more than 5 users and could load google.com without crashing.
