This is just an appeal for an explanation, if anyone can give one, and not specifically an OmniWeb question, though it is a browser question and OmniWeb is my long-time favourite.

I have recently had reason to try and check up on my pension status, and so went to the UK site in question:
http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/
To continue the process one has to register on a page:
https://secure.thepensionservice.gov...t/default.aspx

The first box on this page is for one's full name. My first name is the humble name "Mark". And thereby lies the problem. It is happy with "M" and "a", but I cannot induce it to accept "r". And what is truly weird is that I cannot enter an "r" using OmniWeb, Safari, or the latest version of Opera. The only browser through which I could achieve success was Firefox <ugh!>

Any suggestions as to the cause?

Thanks
Mark

Wow this is a really horrible little web app. There is probably some javascript which is catching your key presses and eating certain characters, I couldn't even type T into the field that I tried.

Thanks for the answer Troy. I will look and see if I can write to HMG complaining of discrimination ;-)
The only other thing that crosses my mind is whether that page is also blocking access from non-UK addresses. Wouldn't surprise me ... but I'm in London, so that doesn't apply to me.
