Next Review Perspective and determining folder hierarchies Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I've recently started using the review perspective and love it. I have one problem though. I have a pretty substantial folder hierarchy, and in each folder I usually have multiple projects, but also a single action list, labeled general. My problem is that when I'm grouping items other than hierarchically, I can't tell which "General" box I'm looking at. I know that may be a signal that my actions aren't descriptive enough, but I was surprised that I couldn't highlight the list (or any project for that matter) and view it's hierarchy through the inspector, or figure out a wait to highlight the project in the sidebar.

Does anyone else have this issue, or is there a more obvious way to deal with this scenario?

Thanks

I have a similar hierarchical set up which you describe. But for my single action lists, I use the name of the folder and perhaps the word "Singles" or "General" or "Miscellaneous". So under my Work folder, I have a Work Singles SA list. And under my Home folder I have a Home Misc SA list. This makes it much easier to know which SA list I'm looking at during reviews and especially when I am using Quick Entry to enter a task directly into one of my SA lists.
