I am a university student, and I have been using the demo version of OmniFocus for a little while now and I am loving it. I was wondering though, I have a macbook pro that I use at the university and for doing minor tasks, and then I have a hackintosh at home for working on more intensive projects. Would I need separate licenses for each computer? (If it makes any difference, I will be purchasing the educational discount version)

you should be ok with one licence. I do similar to you and had Omnifocus installed on my iMac and MacBook Pro.
